Field of View - Helicopter Simulator TU Munich
The Chair of Helicopter Technology at the Technical University of Munich maintains a helicopter simulator (Rotorcraft Simulation Equipment ROSIE), which has been equipped with a 5m wide hemispherical screen. Space M developed and integrated a 6-channel viewing system – originally equipped with projectiondesign F22 WUXGA projectors – with 200° horizontal and +30°x -50° vertical field of view on the curved screen. The entire system was calibrated with the help of the patented domeprojection.com ProjectionTools auto-calibration.
In the meantime, we have brought the vision system up to an up-to-date high-resolution standard, with Barco FL40-4k projectors and a ProjectionTools update.
The original cockpit of the Bo105 provides the pilot with a realistic environment and can be used to test existing and future cockpit design simulations.
